All About Our Balms
What is a balm?
A balm is a concentrated, waterless moisturiser that delivers the oil directly to the skin. It is formed from a combination of plant-derived butters, oils and waxes that are generally used in everyday skincare, and sometimes essential oils are added for their extra healing benefits. However, as balms don't contain water, we don't add any emulsifiers or preservatives to our formulas. We only use Vitamin E as an antioxidant to prolong shelf life and prevent rancidity, due to this, our balms will be able to keep fresh and active and have a long shelf life of at least two years.
What are balms used for?
Balms are mainly used to replace medicinal creams or lotions for skin hydration. It is proven that balms are actually more effective because since moisturisers or body lotions are mostly water-based, they evaporate and leave your skin with a drier texture. Balms, however, trap your skins' natural moisture while creating a natural barrier. The barrier prevents moisture evaporation and eliminated the itchiness, dryness and tight-skin feeling. It remains there for more extended periods of time, keeping your skin supple and nourished for longer. However here at "It's All Good" we decided to take it up to the next level and created balms that not only keep your skin moisturised, but are able to promote the healing of many skin ailments.
