At It's All Good, we can guarantee all of our natural personal care products are:
Some skincare companies may use oils or extracts derived from wheat, barley, or rye as emollients. Anat has celiac disease, so she formulated all of the 'It's All Good' products to be gluten-free.
Some manufacturers use artificial fragrances in their skincare products because they are cheaper than natural perfumes. The problem with artificial fragrances is that many synthetic chemicals used in fragrances are derived from petrochemicals (petroleum-based chemicals) and can harm human health. Because we value your health, we only use high-quality, certified organic essential oils as fragrances in our personal care products.
GMOs - (Genetically modified organisms) are organisms (i.e. plants, animals or microorganisms) in which the genetic material (DNA) has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally. In skincare, what we put on our skin absorbs into the skin and interacts with our systems on a biological level, with so little still known about the long-term health effects of GMO-sourced ingredients. At It's All Good, we only use non-GMO verified ingredients.
According to Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, Nanomaterials are purposely engineered materials with at least one dimension between 1 and 100 nanometers, which is about 1/8000 the width of a human hair.
Nanoparticles are mostly too small to be seen with the naked eye or conventional lab microscopes, and they can penetrate deeply into the skin.
While Nanomaterials may have some benefits, they also come with potential risks. Studies have indicated that low-solubility nanoparticles tend to be more toxic than larger particles of the same material. Additionally, the long-term effects of nanoparticles on human health still need to be fully understood. As a result, It's All Good chooses to avoid using nanoparticles in our products. Instead, we opt for non-nanosized ingredients that have been extensively tested for efficacy and safety.
Parabens are a class of widely used preservatives in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. Scientific studies suggest that parabens can disrupt hormones in the body, harm fertility and reproductive organs, affect birth outcomes, and increase cancer risk. They can also cause skin irritation. At It's All Good, we do not use any parabens in our skincare products.
Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more flexible and harder to break. They are often called plasticisers. Some phthalates are used as solvents for other materials. They are used in hundreds of products, such as vinyl flooring, adhesives, detergents, lubricating oils, automotive plastics, plastic clothes and mainstream personal-care products. Phthalates are often used as a stabiliser for synthetic perfumes in skincare products. Our products use only natural essential oils and will never use Phthalates.
Sodium-Laurel-Sulfate (SLS) Free
SLS are chemicals used as a foaming agent in cosmetics like shampoos, cleansers, shower gels and toothpaste. SLS give these products a foamy, bubbly consistency. SLS harms the barrier function of the skin, causing irritation and drying. We don't use SLS in our products, and when you buy our toothpowder, 'BreathLess', or our "PURE mineral toothpaste", be assured that they are natural, organic and SLS-free.
