Grass-fed beef tallow makes a hard, long-lasting bar of soap with a soft and creamy lather.
It won't dissolve quickly in water, is highly conditioning to the skin, and can nourish and cleanse your skin without stripping it of natural oils.
Kaolin clay is a superfine clay powder rich in minerals such as silica, magnesium, and calcium.
It has cleansing, nourishing, exfoliating, and softening properties and is said to help draw toxins from the skin.

We combined tallow with kaolin clay for a genuinely multi-purpose bar - gentle enough for daily soap and shampoo use, while its creamy lather also works beautifully as a natural, irritation-reducing shave lubricant.

Why doesn't this soap foam up like other soaps?
Big, fluffy bubbles aren't a sign of a better clean - they usually come from oils like coconut, which we deliberately leave out of our sensitive and eczema-prone formulations. That satisfying foam can come at a cost: a weakened skin barrier.
Traditional tallow soap has always had a light, creamy lather instead, because tallow is naturally rich in the same fatty acids found in healthy skin. It cleanses gently and leaves something behind, rather than stripping it all away.
Fewer bubbles, more conditioning - that's the whole philosophy behind our tallow soap.
Can I really use this bar for shaving?
Yes. The gentle lather softens and moisturises the skin while acting as a natural lubricant for your razor, helping to reduce irritation.
