We kept this soap to just tallow, water, and the glycerine naturally created during soap-making - nothing else. It's a genuinely minimal formula for people who need to avoid salicylates, fragrance, and unnecessary additives, without compromising on a satisfying, long-lasting lather.

Why doesn't this soap foam up like other soaps?
Big, fluffy bubbles aren't a sign of a better clean - they usually come from oils like coconut, which we deliberately leave out of our sensitive and eczema-prone formulations. That satisfying foam can come at a cost: a weakened skin barrier.
Traditional tallow soap has always had a light, creamy lather instead, because tallow is naturally rich in the same fatty acids found in healthy skin. It cleanses gently and leaves something behind, rather than stripping it all away.
